The Big East Fall Rally Two Day Points Champions

We had beautiful weather for this year's Fall Championship race as hurricane Isabel decided to pass far to the west of us on Friday. On Sat. we had only 22 cars and Sun only 23 cars, but this allowed us to have a leisurely race and still finish before 2 P.M. each day. Sat we had some excitement as one stock car skidded across the track and jumped the curbing. Fortunately no injuries, but the wheels really took a beating. (click for views) The two day point championship turned out to be a nail biter as two cars in each division ended up in a points tie even after applying the tie breaker rules. We had to revert to a special runoff heat to determine the champs. See all the results and photos below.
